Bio

Alan Stewart has been an artist for the last 12 years. Beginning in North Carolina as an organizer of pop-up galleries and group shows, Stewart honed his abilities and vision prior to his move to South Florida… drawn by the tropical light and coastal life. He maintains a studio in Boca Raton, exhibits with New River Fine Art in Ft. Lauderdale and Naples, Involved as Exhibitions Curator for the Arts Garage in Delray Beach and enjoys Billiards. Statement

We live in a world of fragmentation. There are very few things anyone can agree on. We are a society of islands, largely unaware of our relationship to the ocean. I like to make paintings that cause people to think, perhaps even to have conversations. The work selected here represents some of my favorites.
